Library: recommended reading

There are several books I can personally recommend to read:

The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals
Great literature work, gives you an excellent insight into the origin of our food system. I could not stop reading it till the very end. An absolute must!

Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal: War Stories From the Local Food Front
I personally met the author Joel Salatin on his farm and saw everything he writes about.  Got to sample eggs and beef – organic food from supermarket doesn’t even come close!

Your Money or Your Life: 9 Steps to Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Achieving Financial Independence: Revised and Updated for the 21st Century

This book is great to get your thoughts structured and to justify investing more life resources (time or money) into things that matter more, like getting organic/local food instead of toys & gadgets.

Root Cellaring: Natural Cold Storage of Fruits & Vegetables

Fruits and veggies are always cheaper in-season. It may sound old fashioned, but root cellar offers you a free way to store your seasonal harvest for later use. No electricity required.
